Double your donation to Reliance House!

At Reliance House, we work toward enhancing health through mental wellness, but we can’t do it without you. So much of the work we do depends on your support. Charter Oak is offering an easy way to double your contribution to our mission. From August 15th to November 23rd, Charter Oak will match donations made from their members to non-profit agencies, such as Reliance House.

Mental Illness Feels Like...

Since 1949, May has been recognized as Mental Health Month, a month dedicated to spreading the word that mental health is something everyone should care about. This May, Mental Health America had established the theme "Life with a Mental Illness". They called on individuals to share what life with a mental illness feels like for them in words, pictures, and video by tagging their social media posts with #mentalillnessfeelslike.

Reliance House program helps clean up trash, debris in Norwich

NORWICH – Boots were on the ground Saturday as more than a dozen volunteers turned out to pick up trash and debris around Village Plaza in Taftville. The cleanup event was part of a monthly effort by mental health nonprofit Reliance House’s RISE division, which aims to build a sense of community and foster mental wellbeing through spirituality-focused activities. Volunteers swept through the woods and streets around the plaza, picking up hundreds of pounds of trash and deadfall.  Read more...
