Join us as we welcome back local photographer, Michelle Bartholic!
Michelle is a reading specialist in Pomfret and lives in Dayville, Connecticut with her husband and two children. In addition to being a full-time teacher, she is also a wedding, family and fine art photographer. Her photography collections have been showcased in several art shows in Connecticut. In her free time, she loves to run, swim and spend time with her family.
This workshop will address the importance of following ethical guidelines and setting boundaries in working with a high risk clientele. Through the use of a variety of teaching methods, participants will learn skills, process ethical dilemmas and cultivate new insights into how to develop professional boundaries.
Learning Objectives include:
* Understand of definitions and need for ethics and boundaries
* Identify the variety of ways ethical dilemmas arise and how to manage them
* Identify the personal and professional challenges of setting boundaries
* Understand professional versus personal caring and how to cope with these feelings
* Identify personal and organizational strategies for boundary setting and your businesses’ ethical guidelines

Combining History with Creativity: Youth Engage in the Community
Our August First Friday will host Our Piece of the Pie's Traveling Mural project funded through the Regional Initiative Art Grant through the Connecticut Office of the Arts.
For more than six months, youth at Our Piece of the Pie (OPP) have worked together to design and prepare an 8-foot mural which details a youth's impact on the future of Norwich, Connecticut.
Join OPP youth artists as they show off their larger-than-life mural!
This project is supported in part by the Southeastern Connecticut Cultural Coalition in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, and the National Endowment of the Arts.
Reliance Health is proud to have partnered with The Light House, Horses Healing Humans, Inc. Therapeutic Horsemanship in Coastal Connecticut, and UCFS - United Community & Family Services to create a collective art show in September to demonstrate the Common Thread that connects us all. The "Common Thread" Art Project is funded through the Regional Initiative Grant supported in part by the Southeastern CT Cultural Coalition- Culturesect in partnership with the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development, CT Office of the Arts (COA), and the National Endowment for the Arts.
